Very little leaves your browser.

The Land does not use accounts, advertising trackers, or cookies. It uses limited, anonymous analytics to understand whether the experience is useful.

What stays on your device

Your settings, saved worlds, and world archive are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to The Land. Clearing site data in your browser will remove them.

Small browser-storage markers remember whether you have visited before, prevent a reload from being counted as another visit, and remember whether an app installation has already been counted. They do not identify you and are not sent as identifiers.

Anonymous analytics

The Land uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service. It records page visits, whether a visit is new or returning, broad engagement milestones, and use of sharing, fullscreen, Stay Awake, installation, Chronicle, and new-world controls.

Analytics events do not include world seeds, shared links, saved worlds, Chronicle text, names, email addresses, or other personal information. Query parameters and URL fragments are removed before analytics are sent. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honored.

What the host receives

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL, and time of access to operate and secure the service.

Shared links

When you share a world, its seed and related viewing options may appear in the link. Anyone with that link can use those values to open the same world. The link does not include your saved archive or browser settings.

Service worker and offline storage

The Land can store site files in your browser so it starts faster and can reopen offline. You can remove them by clearing this site's data or uninstalling the app.

Changes

If accounts, payments, advertising, or materially different analytics are added, this page will be updated before those systems collect information.
